SIMPLE QUICK REMAPPPER INSTRUCTIONS:
FIRST STEP is to link up to the diagnostic port under the steering wheel on the cars and then turn on key to power up the ecu, but leave the engine off and select Tuning and then select the car that is the closest match to your car. Then Arrow over and it will say stock file missing, do you want to read it now? You select YES and it will start reading out the OEM Stock File: DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING AND LET IT COMPLETE THE READING PROCESS. THEN UNPLUG AND TURN KEY OFF AND WALK INTO THE HOUSE TO TRANSFER FILE:
SECOND STEP is to download the Remapper Software from website (https://www.remapper.co.uk/), it can easily be found by putting your cursor over product and you will see all the listings of the instructions and the software. YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD WORKING INTERNET CONNECTION TO USE THE REMAPPER. Once the REMAPPER SW is downloaded, then open it up and plug in the REMAPPER tool to the computer and it will identify the device and update it.
IF IT SAYS CANNOT INITIALIZE DEVICE, JUST UNPLUG AND PLUG BACK IN THE DEVICE WHILE THE REMAPPER SW RUNS ON THE COMPUTER AND IT WILL EVENTUALLY IDENTIFY THE DEVICE AND START WORKING.
Once the REMAPPER finishes updating, then you can select download data, this will be your OEM file. It makes it much easier if you name your file, like John-08-V6-OEM. Save this file to your documents on your computer, not your desktop. Then you just upload the file to REMAPPER website. NOTE; YOU ONLY READ THE OEM FILE ONE TIME EVER, YOU NEVER READ IT A SECOND TIME ! Company will then modify and send back your tune and you will open your email and save the file that sending back to you to your documents.
Then you open the REMAPPER Software again and link up to your device. Now you select Upload Data. This will upload the new tune to the REMAPPER. Now you can walk to the car, link up to the car and select tuning and select the tune and program your car!
Note: With windows 8, you must disable the signature driver enforcement before you download the REMAPPER SW. You can find hundreds of links online to see how to do this. You can just google search how to disable signature driver enforcement in windows 8 and they will all pop up for you many videos and instructions.
TRIONIC 7 must back up battery and remove fuses for lights and cooling fan to read and write files to the ecu, takes one hour to read and 20 to program.
NOTE: ONCE THE PROGRAMMING COMPLETES ON T7 CARS, YOU MUST RESET THE BATTERY POWER TO RE-SET THE ECU AND THEN IT WILL START RIGHT UP ! ATTENTION: IF YOU EVER GET AN ERROR WHILE PROGRAMMING, DO NOT TURN KEY OFF OR UNPLUG REMAPPER !!! THIS WILL DAMAGE THE ECU!!! ALL YOU DO IS GO RIGHT BACK TO TUNING AND START THE PROGRAMMING OF THE FILE AGAIN OR PROGRAM BACK TO STOCK AND START OVER.
TRIONIC 8 takes 12-14 mintues to read and 3-5 minutes to program. V6 Me9.6 takes 3-4 mintues to read and less than one minute to program.
NOTE: YOU CANNOT DO ANY DAMAGE WHILE READING THE ECU MEMORY. YOU CAN ONLY DO DAMAGE WHILE PROGRAMMING THE ECU !!! THE ONLY WAY IT NORMALLY HAPPENS IS IF THE CAR BATTERY DIES WHILE PROGRAMMING OR THE CONNECTION IS BUMPED AND BROKEN. *** ATTENTION: IF YOU EVER GET AN ERROR WHILE PROGRAMMING, DO NOT TURN KEY OFF OR DISCONNECT CABLE, JUST START THE TUNING OVER, JUST PROGRAM THE FILE A SECOND TIME. YOU WANT THE PROGRAMMING TO COMPLETE SUCCESSFUL BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE CABLE OR TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE ECU, AKA TURN KEY OFF !
